AoT attracts six more airlines | Bangkok Post: business


Airports of Thailand has declared a success its plan to attract airlines to make stops at its six facilities. President Nitinai Sirismatthakarnsaid the new stops were added between late last year to early 2017. HKexpress launched the twice-weekly Hong Kong-Chiang Rai service on Nov 25, 2016 while Flydubai started the twice-weekly Dubai-Bangkok route from Suvarnabhumi on Nov 29 last year. Hebei Airlines launched the three-times-a-week Shijiazhuang–Bangkok service from March 27 while Kunming Airlines began its first international service -- Kunming-Hat Yai -- on April 1, representing Songkhla's first direct link to China, he said. AoT operates Suvarnabhumi, Don Mueang International, Chiang Mai International, Mae Fah Luang Chiang Rai International, Hat Yai International and Phuket International airports.
